Serpent Mound Star Knowledge Peace Summit Solar Eclipse April 8, 2024
Serpent Mound is a 1,348-feet-long, three-feet-high prehistoric effigy mound located in Peebles, Ohio. It was built on what is known as the Serpent Mound crater plateau, running along the Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. The mound is the largest serpent effigy known in the world.
Serpent Mound was likely constructed by the Adena culture, one of the earliest prehistoric cultures in the Ohio Valley, around 1000 BCE. It is estimated that the mound was created over a period of several hundred years. The mouth of the serpent opens onto a prominent oval-shaped mound, which is believed to have ceremonial significance. The Adena people were eventually succeeded by the Fort Ancient culture, who continued to use the site for ceremonial purposes. It is generally believed that Serpent Mound was created and used as a sacred site for generations of Native American peoples.
At Serpent Mound, On April 8, 2024 there was a gathering of all peoples, tribes and nations. This gathering, the Star Knowledge Peace Summit, was attended by many from around Turtle Island (United States) and countries beyond America’s borders. This event coincided with the full solar eclipse, which made such a gathering more meaningful and impactful.
For three days, everyone was welcomed with open arms, sharing knowledge, music, ceremonies, dance, food, stories, healing and a plethora of other offerings from many gifted individuals in attendance.
The energy of the eclipse was extremely powerful, as famous Jazz keyboardist and former Miles Davis’s music director Robert “Baabe” Irving III, and his daughter (former golden buzzer finalists on Americas Got Talent) Sharon Irving, performed a long soulful, stirring call and response song that coincided with the eclipse on an outside stage. It was a moment that could only be experienced directly to fully understand the significance and impact.
Bishop Mustafa Salahuddin Bey OukhaRa ZesheRa served as an ambassador for The Empire Washitaw De Dugdahmoundyah and was in attendance, among many other indigenous elders, leaders and healers.
All peoples, nations and relations who was at Serpent Mound exercised honor and respect for all, which allowed for deep sharing, teaching and learning.
Everyone is encouraged to attend future gatherings at Serpent Mound and other designated locations as a way of fellowshipping with other likeminded indigenous peoples. All of the photos in this section reflects this amazing gathering. Peace and Love!
